Level 3, Unit 5 Curriculum
Classroom Materials Needed:
Each student needs the following:
• Yardage of quilting cotton (three prints)
- 1/2 yard non-directional main fabric
- 1/2 yard non-directional lining fabric
- 1/8 yard non-directional accent fabric
• 1-1/2 yard Pellon SF101 fusible interfacing
• 1/3 yard InsulBright
• (1) 14” zipper
• 1-3/4 yard 1" cotton webbing
Classroom Tools Needed:
• Acrylic ruler, cutting mat, and rotary cutter (for instructor only)
• Iron
• Frixion pen
• Zipper foot
• Hera marker (optional)
• Basting spray (optional)
• 1/4” seam tape
Classroom Materials Needed:
Each student needs the following:
• 44” or 56” wide woven fabric - we recommend rayon, voile, lightweight cotton or linen blends (quantity needed depends on size; see size chart in Step 1)
• Elastic thread
Classroom Tools Needed:
• Acrylic ruler, cutting mat, and rotary cutter (for instructor only)
• Iron
• Seam gauge
• Frixion pen or tailor’s chalk
• Several safety pins
