What's Included? 

This package contains the Curriculum for five Girl Scout Events. These are 90-minute or 2-hour events designed for absolute beginners and will help increase enrollment in your After-School Program.

The ​Girl Scout Event Package includes:

  • General Information for Hosting Girl Scout Events 

  • Curriculum for 5 Events, targeted for various troop types:

    • Daisy Troops (Kindergarten and First Grade)

    • ​Brownie Troops (2nd and 3rd Graders) - Two Events ​

    • Junior Troops (4th and 5th Graders) - Two Events

Why Offer Girl Scout Events?
​Sewciety Kids Girl Scout Events are designed to be age-appropriate projects for kids with no prior sewing experience. These Events give Girl Scouts a taste of how fun sewing is, and introduces them to everything your studio has to offer, including your After-School Program. Girl Scout Events are a fantastic marketing tool for your business – they get the word out about your Program and increase your enrollment.

For Daisy Troops

The Flower Power Keychain event is an introduction to hand sewing for Daisy troops.  

This event is designed for Kindergartners and First Graders.  Students make a flower keychain from felt.

One For Me, One For You headband event is an introduction to machine sewing for Brownie troops.  This is a "First Year Brownie Event," meaning that you'll use this project with Brownies the first time they come to your studio.  Girl Scouts make two headbands, one to keep and one to give away.

For Brownie Troops

The Friendship Foldover Wristlet  event is a "Second Year Brownie Event."  Use this Curriculum for troops that have already done the One For Me, One For You Event.  Brownies make a wristlet with cam snap closure.

Tagalong Tote.jpg

The Tagalong Tote event is an introduction to machine sewing for Junior troops, which consist of fourth and fifth graders.

This is a "First Year Junior Event," meaning that you'll use this project with Juniors the first time they come to your studio.  Girl Scouts make a lined Tote Bag in this event.

For Junior Troops

The Let's Go Outdoors! Sit Upon event is a "Second Year Junior Event."  Use this Curriculum with Junior troops that have already completed the Tagalong Tote event. 

During this Event, Girl Scouts upcycle a shopping tote into a monogrammed seat cushion perfect for sitting around the fire on camping trips!
