Level 3, Unit 4 Curriculum
Classroom Materials Needed:
Each student needs the following:
• 1/4 yard non-directional, preferably solid main fabric (for foundation blocks)
• 6” long pre-cut strips in widths of 1”, 1-1/4” & 1-1/2” (in coordinating colors) - See Instructor Notes, Lesson Plan Day 1 for more information
• 1/3 yard quilting cotton (for backing & binding)
• (1) piece of Insul-Bright batting (13-1/2” x 13-1/2” square)
Classroom Tools Needed:
• Acrylic ruler, cutting mat, and rotary cutter (for instructor only)
• Iron
• Frixion pen or tailor’s chalk
• Quarter-inch presser foot
• Wonder clips
Classroom Materials Needed:
Each student needs the following:
• 44” or 54” wide woven fabric - we recommend rayon, linen or linen blends (quantity needed depends on size and length; see size chart on next page)
• Approximately 1/2 yard of 1” wide elastic - exact length varies depending on size
• Approximately 1/2 yard of 3/4” wide elastic - exact length varies depending on size
• 1/8 yard lightweight fusible interfacing - we recommend Pellon 906
